Application Forums

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum - I'm hoping I can get some help.  Has anyone had to declare their medication (tamoxifen for me) on an application form?  I was involved in a car accident last year, thankfully the driver admitted liability.  I have had 7 physio session and now my car insurers want me to see an independant doctor, of which I'm asked to give details of any medication I am on but I do not want to share this as I do not believe its relevant to my claim - has anyone got any advice for me?  What should I do?

Thank you

Julie

    Hi JuneyM,

    Welcome to our forum.

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 13 years and have been on Tamoxifen and then Letrozole. In the interimsince diagnosis, I have had to fill in all sorts of medical forms, travel insurance forms, driving licence applications, etc. I also had to fill in my medication on an insurance claim, after someone drove into the side of my car and accepted full liability.

I declared my cancer treatment, as well as my other medication, as I felt that it was wrong to omit anything - and possibly even illegal. You might find it helpful to contact one of the nurses on this site for advice. They are available Monday-Friday, from 9.00am-5.00pm. Their number is 0808 800 4040.

Please let us know how you get on, as I'm sure that many of us would like to know the answer to your question.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
