Locally advanced back of tongue tumour

Hello all

I know someone who has just been diagnosed with a 7 cm tumour at the back of their tongue, which also also spread to their lymph nodes.

Is there anyone on here who can let me know what they are going to have to go through (starts radiotherapy next week), and how I can help?

Hi John,
Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear about the situation with the person you know - hopefully they and you are getting on OK.
It's difficult to advise on what they may need to go through with this. Their doctor/specialist will be best placed to advise on the specifics, so hopefully you will be able to find out more from this person soon.
