You did the right thing in getting a doctor's appointment for next week and I hope that it will shed some light on what this lump might be. It will be good to have it looked at by a medical expert especially as it has started to weep. 

The bald patch your hairdresser noticed is unlikely to be related to the lump in your groin but if you are worried about it, do mention it to your doctor too when you have your appointment. 

I hope you find out more soon and that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.
