I am sorry to hear about these new symptoms. We are always advised to have any changes in our breasts checked out. I can understand that you're terrified to tell your doctor, but this would be the wisest move. You know yourself that the outcome is always better, the earlier a cancer is caught, so bite the bullet and make that appointment. A mammogram would pick up a lump, but might miss a subtle change in the skin, so you're as well to do this for your own peace of mind.
