HPV, abnormal cells and colposcopy

2 years ago I had a colposcopy which showed abnormal cells and HPV. These were not deemed bad enough to treat so I was invited for a follow up smear. The follow up smear showed that I still had HPV and I should return for further assessment in 3 months. Which brings us to today. I had a second colposcopy and I am awaiting the results and the doctor seemed to think there was abnormal cells there when he looked and that with HPV being present he wanted to check the cells again.
my partner and I wanted to start trying for a baby soon and this has set us back as the doctor said to wait until this has cleared before we start trying. I am so upset and worried and just feel so uninformed. If anyone has any information or insight, or been through a similar situation I'd really appreciate some help on what to expect, or when we could start trying for a baby.
I have 3-5 more weeks to wait for my colposcopy results, I may go private to speed up the process if I need treated.
