Not all breast dimples are necessary cancer

I have always been paranoid about breast cancer , I just can't help it  About 2 weeks ago I lifted my right arm and down the side of my breast was a dimple.  I felt instantly sick. It definitely wasn't there before   It was quite obvious.  I rang the gp and she instantly put me on a 2 ww.  Those 2 weeks have  been horrible.  I was totally convinced I had cancer   My mind has been on over drive.  Today I went to the breast clinic.  I was so nervous.  The doctor checked the indent and wasn't concerned.  I then had a scan and a mammogram. I am delighted to say it was just fatty tissue.  I am so relieved.  I hope my story helps some of you ladies from thinking the worse.   It's very scary but it isn't always what Dr Google predicts. Good luck to all the ladies on this forum ♥️

    Hi Mazzymoo,

A very warm welcome to our forum and thank you so much for your account of your visit to the breast clinic today. I am delighted to hear that this was just fatty tissue. It is always heartening to hear of the good outcomes. It is a fact that 8 out of every 10 people who visit the clinic do not have cancer, but the majority of good outcomes disappear into the ether and we only tend to hear about the bad ones.

It is never a good idea to consult "Dr Google". Much of this information is poorly researched, out of date and aimed at the more spectacular cases. This only serves to scare us further.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
