MRI multiple leisons - anyone had similar?

Hi,

Reaching out to hear if anyone has experience of similar.

A recent MRI found 3 incidental findings. One 5cm lesion of the liver, a 4cm solid cystic lesion in GI tract and multiloculated lesion mid rectum. I am absolutely terrified that this means cancer. I'm loosing weight because I am not eating due to the anxiety of it all. I already suffer with health anxiety and this has all come totally out of the blue.

    Hi Autumnsunshineone,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am sorry to hear about your symptoms and understand your worry. Have you got a date for your results yet, or do you have to have any further tests? It is impossible to say whether or not this is cancer, until you get your results. Some lesions can look cancerous, yet be benign.

I have had 3 lumps in my breasts at different times. The first was cancerous. Six months later, I had a larger lump in my other breast. Fortunately, after a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy, this proved to be benign. Fast forward another six months, and I found another lump in my original breast. Sadly, this was a second primary cancer. On all three occasions, my consultant told me at my first consultation, that he was pretty sure that all three were cancerous.

Try your best to eat well, as you'll need your strength if you have to have treatment. Remind yourself that no amount of worry will change the outcome.

I sincerely hope that all turns out well for you. Please keep in touch and let us know how you're getting on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
