Hi Andy22
It is indeed a worrying and anxious time for you. Im assuming youve been referred to a breast clinic for further tests. The clinics are aware of the 'stress' that people are experiencing and they will look after you very well. Unfortunately I cannot reassure you that all will be ok but from my own reading on this topic it would appear as though the majority of people attending breast clinic appointments get good news and I hope you will too. It might be good idea to tell a friend or a member of your family what you are going through so that they can support you and accompany you to the clinic. I hope that you will get the best news.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I cannot bring myself to tell my family as there are other issues going on It feels very lonely and the holiday break has been a nightmare quite honestly This forum is a wonderful thing to make you realise you are not alone Thank you again x
Hi Andy22
Please read my thread for diagnosis without biopsy results.
I was called back for a 2nd Mammogram on the 23rd Dec and told they too felt, on a scale of 1 to 5 for being a positive result for breast cancer, that i was a 5. I get my biopsy results tomorrow. I havent told family either as, like you, have other factors like a hip replacement i have to cancel and my nanna is in hospital on end of life care. So I totally understand the turmoil and anguish you are feeling.
By joining this group you have made the first step for support. Everyone here is amazingly supportive and whilst all journeys are individual please take comfort that we are all here to offer support to each other.
I have told a few friends and this has given me the support I need until the time is right to tell family. A friend who has also been through Breast Cancer, and out the other side, is coming with me tomorrow.
Without the results I just felt it wasn't fair to tell family without knowing the final results and treatment plan, especially with my Nanna potentially passing any day now.
You will gradually start to take it in and as each day passes just remember its a bump in the road and whatever the results are, you will get through this.
Please dont go alone. Friends will offer as much support as you need and you will feel better sharing the burden of it rather than carrying on ur own.
Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and all of us at this difficult time. You are brave and you will get through this blip xx
Thank you - all good wishes to you for your results - stay strong x

Thank you. Its a tough day all round as my Nanna passed away at 3am this morning. I know they say the waits the worst part but im so anxious about it being worse case scenario news.. getting the results makes it completely real. Plenty of prayers needed for us all xx

Hi Lula,
I am so sorry to hear of your Nanna's passing in the early hours of this morning and offer my sincere sympathy to you and your family.
I hope that your appointment today has not fulfilled your fears and that you feel a little better now, knowing what lies ahead.
I am thinking of you and praying hard for a manageable outcome.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
