5 years Since enlarged lymph node found in neck

Turned out to be Stage 4 Lymphoma having jumped to bones  jan 2018  i was 57 at the time (male)

went through CT Scan , 2 biobsys , PET scan  back in december 2017

i had severe back bone, broke a rib cage bones whilst jogging

i was overweight BMI of 29 and was also diagnosed with diabetes

prior to going to GP i had 6 weeks of drenching and lost 10% of weight

after a course of ABVD over 6 months, there was no sign of cancer

i went through a change in diet to 100% vegan , reversed my diabetes by August 2018

i also embarked on a further weight loss, from 16 st now to 13 1/2 st with intermittent fasting , started cycling and done 12,000 miles

to date i am still clear of cancer - i wanted to pass this on to anyone with hodgkin lymphoma that progonosis can be good

    Hi Mark,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

Thank you for your uplifting post. I am glad to hear that you are doing so well. I am a breast cancer lady and have had 2 bouts within the past 13 years. Like you, I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

We don't hear enough from people who are fighting this disease and making some progress. This is always a great source of encouragement and positivity for those who are struggling.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

    Hi Mark,

We often hear of the bad outcomes, but seldom of the good ones - possibly because they are just so glad to be able to get on with their lives.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Lockdown was a horrible time and I too lost some loved ones during it. It was so hard with visiting and funeral limitations.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
