Please don't worry about being sent for an ultrasound.  It is fairly usual, when there are only private test results available and no previous results to compare to.

Thank u for your reply but im still a bit confused as to how they will compare mammogram and ultrasound when mammogram was only done 2 weeks ago surly they will only see exactly what was in  that mammogram and can't really compare it.

Hi Mammy,

They often carry out an ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy at the first appointment. This can be helpful, as sometimes something will show better with an ultrasound than a mammogram and vice versa. Any further scans needed can then also be compared to these in the future.
