CT Scan Results

Hello I have just joined, 

I had an X Ray due to a continuous cough that wouldn't go. My X Ray results went back to my doctor and my GP referred me for a CT Scan as a dark shadow was showing. 
 

I had my CT Scan two days ago and received a call today from the hospital. They said they need to book me in for an appointment at the hospital to discuss my results at the Treatment Centre. 
 

I find it strange how it was very quick, also why my GP never called like with my results. What should I expect? Is this likely to be bad news? 
 

Im starting to get anxious.

    I'm sorry to hear about the dark shadow that's been found and for the anxiety your upcoming appointment to discuss your results at the hospital is causing.
