Symptoms - worried. Rash not improving, may need biopsy

Hi everyone,

I'm 25 and have recently had some weird symptoms. Firstly I've had a rash on my stomach for three months which changes in appearance and has gotten bigger. This has been ruled out as being eczema by two doctors because of the appearance and size and steroid creams also did not work. The rash was then diagnosed as a fungal and I have been given two different fungal creams which have not worked. Recently I now have a raised lumpy part of what I think is lesions / textured lumps on the rash. I’m a bit concerned and would just like to get to the bottom of it if possible. Other symptoms include indigestion, headaches, facial acne breakout, another rash on my neck, back pain, and general itchiness - all issues I’ve not had before so I am worried.

I've been panned off with various creams to no avail, and recently have been advised I need bloods taken and a skin graft or biopsy. Does anyone have a similar story and could the rash and itchiness etc just be down to stress? Lymphoma terrifies me.

 Appreciate your help, thank you.

  • Hi there,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear you've had some unexplained symptoms. Unfortunately it is difficult for anyone here to advise on this - it will only be your doctor who can do this, so it's good to hear you've been speaking to them and that you have some more tests coming up. See how things go with the blood results and any next steps, and take it from there. Keep using any opportunity you have with your doctor to talk things through and to ask any questions you have. It's of course important that you get some answers, and I hope it's not too long to wait for this.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
