Positive fit test 23

Hi I'm new this forum I have had on going problems with my bowels for over a year anxiety related my mum had bowel cancer so it's a big trigger . Since August / September I developed epigastric pain . Left sided pain . went to GPS various time has full bloods ... all normal cal cal protection levels normal inflammatory markers normal. But my recent Fit test has come back positive I have had no visible blood in my stool that I've noticed Anybody in same situation I'm 43

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health problems at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious especially given your Mum's history. 

    It's good to hear that all the tests to date have given no cause for concern. Try to remember that there could be any number of reasons for having a positive FIT test so don't panic. Presumably your GP is going to follow this up with either another test or a referral to a specialist for further investigations. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for some further news.

    Hi

    YHank you got your reply yes I'm on the two week wait pathway for a colonoscopy . 
    I'm a nurse so need to keep my logical head on but it's difficult at times not to worry . Obviously given my mums history
