I have a weird mark growing on my back. Doctor thinks it's cancer. This was a shock for me as I didn't think they could say that without being sure. I'm seeing a specialist on Tuesday. Has anyone experience having a mark appear and grow?
I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting to see the specialist at the moment for a mark that your GP feels could be melanoma. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious ahead of your appointment.
I'm going to tag [@AngieT] in my message to you. Angie has been living with melanoma for quite a number of years now. Hopefully she'll see this message and reply to share some of her advice with you.
In the meantime, I'd also suggest giving our team of nurses a call ahead of the appointment on Tuesday. I'm sure they will be happy to offer some support and advice as well as help you think about the kinds of questions you might want to ask.
