Beating Breast Cancer with positivity

Hi everyone,
I am 40 yrs young and I went through estrogen induced breast cancer in 2021.
I was diagnosed in Nov 2020 and started chemo in Jan 2021 I was put on Zoladex and exemestane from the get go for the next 5 years, I've had a full mastectomy and 15 lymhnodes removed and tried reconstruction but got an infection 4 months later so had it all removed currently waiting on my last surgery. I also endured Radiotherapy. I'm a horse girl through and through and other than my hair loss through chemo i never had side affects and continued to ride and comptete my horse through it all till my surgery recoveries didn't allow it. I've yet to meet any like minded people but hoping to find some here. I'm also taking part in the London Landmarks half marathon next year.
Thanks for reading

  • Hi Crisy - I am 45 years old and was diagnosed with grade 2 invasive ductal cancer of my left breast on Monday. Had the MRI scan on Weds and awaiting the results. Ive been carrying on as much as normal but do feel very dazed this week and darent touch any alcohol as I turn into a puddle of tears. I dont plan on telling my children (well my eldest really, shes 12 the other is one is still so small) until I know the MRI test results. I went to the gym yesterday and this morning. Ive also got myself a 2 hour spa session booked this afternoon. I really want to get to where you are but I just need the MRI results behind me to move forward. Im not a horsey girl but i have a spaniel who also just came down with an auto immune disease last week (arrrghhh it feels like its more than coincidental!!), shes getting better though but Im missing our huge daily walks at the mo.
