Hi All
I'm a 38 year old female who, in November 2020 was diagnosed with CIN1 cervical cancer after severe changes and high grade dyskaryosis was identified in my smear. I had a lletz, followed by a cone biopsy and was declared to have clear margins. In my next smear on September 2021 there was more abornmal cells so I was referred for a total abdominal hysterectomy with everything taken except my ovaries (to stop me from going tin to the menopause).
I had an appointment with the surgeon on 13th September as, despite my wound healing well I had some niggles with pain, and swelling. The surgeon referred me for an ultrasound scan, which I had on Sunday 18th September. That showed cysts on both ovaries. One which is luteal which I believe is normal and one which is haemorrhagic. I have to go for blood tests now to check my CA125 levels and some other bits and bobs.
I'm really looking to see if anyone has a story similar to mine, and what their experience was like. The hysterectomy was supposed to be the end of the journey, but it's clearly rumbling on with these news cysts. I'd just like to go back to being healthy please!
Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing experiences.
N x
