Lump armpit pains

Hi Newby here, was at the doctors a few days ago after finding a lump in the left breast, measured 2-3cm, today I had to go back as its got bigger now measuring around 5cm, shooting pain in my armpit, tender breast, back pain, neck pain has anyone had any of the symptoms and been diagnosed? I am scared as I am only 32 and family history of various cancers. Please don't be scared to tell me as I always prepare for the worst and hope for the best thank you

*I do have a scan book for next week I'm just worrying about it*

  • Hi jones123, I'm new too. I found a large lump in my breast so went to doctors they then referred me to breast clinic where I had a mammogram.  Went back the following week to see consultant and she examined me. My lump is 6cms in length. Then had scan and biopsy.  I've been diagnosed as having stage 2 breast cancer. I have shooting pains in my breast and my armpit is a bit uncomfortable now and again. I'm due to have mastectomy and lymph glands removed on 9th September.  I understand that you must be scared as I was and still am. I'm 47 years old and single mother of 3 boys. I hope everything goes well for you and wish you luck and if you need to chat then I'm here x

  • Hi

i wouldn't think it would change in size that quick , I have BC but didn't have any pain in armpit or kneck hope that helps xx

  • Hi clare47

The pain is just like a dull ache and a ooo that hurt kind of pain if that makes sence   if you don't mind me asking did you have other symptoms? Unfortunately I am to young to have a mammogram as the age is 40

I have 2 kids one of each.

I hope everything goes well on the 9th for you xx

  • Hi jones123,

No I didn't have any other symptoms. It's a shame that you are too young to have a mammogram but if it is anything then I'm sure the scan will show it up.

Best wishes and good luck with your scan x
