leaving forum

Hi everryone

after nearly 2 years and as the longest known contributor on this forum i am no longer going to continue posting on here as my views are either no longer relevant or noticed by others , i wish you all the best with your treatments and recoveries in the furure and might pop on to the forum once in a while

regards

Douglas

  • Hi Doug,

Don't leave! Your views are always relevant and I was only talking about you yesterday to my husband saying how well you'd done in your recovery. Don't underestimate the help you've given people including me.

Obviously I understand you've moved on somewhat but survivors inspire others in their darkest hours giving hope where you feel there isn't any. If you feel able to stay in touch if only now and then it would be appreciated. It's coming upto 2 years this October that my husband had the shocking diagnosis and seeing your posts and others on here made a huge difference. I know a few haven't posted including RayB whose thread we all hijacked but I like to think he's OK but would love to hear from him as well as I know he had a difficult time. Anyhow it's your decision but I will definitely miss your posts.

    keeping the faith for everyone

  • Hello Douglas

I'm sorry that you feel it's time to move on from the Cancer Chat forum. However, I'm even more sorry to hear that you're leaving because you think that your posts are no longer noticed or relevant.

I know that your posts, in which you've shared much of your experience and advice with other members who have had the same diagnosis, have been a great support and help to many people over the past 2 years.

If you feel that you want to pop on to the forum once in a while then of course you're most welcome to continue doing so. But if the time is right for you to move on, then on behalf of the moderation team, I pass on my thanks to you for all that you've contributed and wish you well for your continued recovery and good health.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn

  • Hello from a poster since 2017!  I think you will pop on because it's good to update on yourself, people are interested but busy, so don't feel your views are wasted.  Take care, Carol
