Biopsy and waiting for results

Hi I saw my GP as found a big lump in my left breast. On Tuesday, that was two weeks since seeing gp, I had the appointment at the breast clinic, two mamograms, scan, biopsy of the lump, and a small one in my arm pit that showed up wich I didn't know was there, a d they inserted something called a clip.

Have to wait until 31st for my results. They had no appointments next week and I'm on holiday the week after ( my GP asked me for dates but said I'd have them before my holiday, obviously if they have no space theres no space is there, they've out me on a cancellation list just incase so...)

In for the waiting game now. Just trying to not think about it to much and look forward to my holiday

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently needed to attend the breast clinic and that you're now waiting on biopsy results. We know that for many people this period of waiting for results and appointments can be difficult and it's natural that you may be feeling a real rollercoaster of emotions at the moment.

Trying not to think about it isn't always easy but it's definitely a good approach to take towards things. You can't change the outcome so worrying won't help. Hopefully, you will be able to go away and enjoy your holiday with the family, returning fresh to deal with whatever news the breast team has for you.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on when you do have some news.

    Best wishes,
