It's not surprising you are worried, but try to keep in mind that the FIT test only tests for blood in the stool. Lots of things can cause that and the majority are not serious - a fissure, polyps, hemorrhoids, an infection... They just have to check in case there is a serious cause - ulcerative colitis, Crohn's, diverticular disease or worst case scenario, cancer. I'm sure you know this, but the minor causes are far more likely, though I know even a small chance of something serious like bowel cancer is terrifying.

Colonoscopy was very easy- didnt hurt & actually wasn't embarrassing- I was given lightweight pants to wear & the surgeon just pulled slightly to create an appropriate hole.The prep drink etc wasn' particularly nice but was doable- just had to drink a lot. Results will vary- aleays best to know one way or another- most give a clean bill of health so can be reassuring  xx
