Supraclavical Right Node Lump

Hi,

I'm reaching out to share my experience and hopefully to hear yours.. I noticed a hard lump on the right side of my collar bone a week ago. The lump is hard and quite big so I'm surprised I didn't notice it sooner.. The Dr is running a full blood count & I have a chest X-Ray on Fri.. I've Googled what they are looking for & it say's the lump is associated with lung cancer and that I may only have 4months to live! 

has anyone had the same experience? I'm so anxious, feel sick & can't sleep xx

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump. You did exactly the right thing in seeing your GP and it's good to hear that they are going to run some tests to examine this further. 

    Many people turn to the internet to search for information when they have a health concern. Unfortunately, most of the information that you'll find is outdated, inaccurate, or simply aimed at the worst-case scenario. Please try to avoid using Google to look for information - it won't give you an accurate diagnosis but it will leave you feeling more anxious and worried than you were, to begin with. 

    Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the results of your x-ray and blood tests and your GP will be able to offer you some reassurance about things.

    Hi Jenn,

    Thank you so much for your reassuring response. My Chest X-Ray didn't show anything & my bloods were ok which I like to think is positive, however the lump on my right clavicle has grown in size in just 2wks..

    I'm now waiting for an ultra scan before the Gp can refer me, as I guess they don't know yet who to refer me too..

    I just want to know what it is.. I can't stand living in limbo, it's exhausting!

    I'll keep you updated if that's ok? It's good to have someone to talk to.
