Hi,
I was diagnosed with the same (although stage 3 - I think) on May 26th 2016. After 12-14 months of treatment to try and save my bladder I was told that the treatment had been unsuccessful. Options, try the same treatment again (10-15% chance of success), do nothing (life expectancy 5 years), remove bladder and build a new bladder from lower intestine, remove bladder and have a stoma and colstomy bag.
I chose the last option.
My bladder was removed 1st August 2017.
1 week ago was my 5 year anniversary. I am now in remission and classed as a 'survivor'.
If there is anyway I can help please let me know as I have been through every aspect of this horrific disease from why me? anger, despair, crushing pain, loneliness, howling at the moon and so on.
Everyone tells you to stay positve, I would add to that, keep your sense of humour, its one of the major assets that will get you throught this.
P.
