Feeling lost

Hi I'm lisa I'm currently under the early cancer diagnostics centre everything was going so quickly from bloods ct scans appointments and now that I'm waiting on results to see what's causing all my symptoms ct scan was over a week ago and last bloods was the same due for some more tomo but how long does it take for them to either diagnose or rule out certain things should I take it as no news is good news for now x

  • Hi Lisa,

Similar to yourself, I waited 8 days for the result of my first post surgery (Oct 2021) post-chemo (May 2022) and the result came in this afternoon (scan was 25th July) and it's all clear. I actually telephoned the colorectal dept to ask over the telephone, as no one had contacted me and I was getting more and more concerned.

I like to think that it took a while because I was not 'important' enough to warrant early contact because the radiographer couldn't see anything during the scan? Not the case when I had my first colonoscopy in Sept. 2021, when the doctor told me, there and then, that there was a tumor in my colon. x

So yes, I think no news is good news!
