Mass in abdomen, tender and semi mobile

I have found a mass in my abdomen. I was in some discomfort when lay face down so I lay on my back and had a feel of my stomach area. The mass is about the size of a grapefruit and tender when I feel for it. It's about two inches to the right of my belly button. When I roll on to my side I can feel the mass shift to which ever side I roll on to. This isn't exactly painful but it is very uncomfortable. I'm stressing myself out worrying about what it can be, and I can't get into see a doctor for another ten days. I've lost my appetite, it was iffy before I found the lump. Now I just feel sick with worry.

I've had some difficulty with constipation and some blood in my stools. I also had intermittent sharp tearing pain that doubles me over.

If anyone has any advice for what this could be it would be gratefully received.

  • Hello Bluu

I'm sorry ot hear that you're dealing with some health problems at the moment. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious about what this lump is and if it's connected to the symptoms you're experiencing.

It's good to hear that you've already arranged a GP appointment. Although sometimes easier said than done, try not to worry too much as this will make you feel worse. There could be any number of reasons for this lump that you've discovered and the symptoms that you're experiencing other than cancer.

Hopefully, at your GP appointment, they will be able to give you some reassurance and get you started on the path to resolving things.

I do hope that things settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
