I know I should be positive but...

Hello,

I was diagnosed early March with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. I had my surgery to get rid of the horrible 'C' and healing had been going great. The past few days though, I have been getting more uncomfortable and the pain is getting much worse to the point the painkillers have come out again. I start radiotherapy tomorrow () and will mention the team what is happening. I feel like I'm going crazy as the pain is really starting to get to me and causing me sleepless nights (I know it will be a mixture of things, I.e. hormones everywhere etc). And also the pain under my armpit where lymph nodes have been removed is truly driving me insane, I'm doing the exercises as shown and told, but this just all seems to be getting worse. Can anyone relate or give any advice, I'm getting quite paranoid that something isn't quite right again.

Many thanks you lovely people

  • Hi, I had my Surgery in October, I have just finished Chemo and Radiotherapy', I still get Tenderness under my arm to where they took the nodes too test, also my Cheat and Shoulder Hurts, they said it was my Damaged nerves from surgery. I would certainly ask them when you go though as i would hate too give you the wrong information, Good luck on your Radiotherapy

  • Hello Sarah,

Thank you for replying to me. I'm definitely going to mention this to them as it's getting a bit too much, especially when the last few weeks Ive been feeling kind of normal again (well as normal as I can be lol) and then all of a sudden boom back to being in pain. My oncologist said I had a bit of a fluid build up in my half a lady (my boob) so I'm wondering if it could be that..the mind boggles. I hope you're feeling as well as you can be with finishing your treatments and I hope you start to feel better soon with the tenderness etc. Any information is great appreciated.

Thank you again, my fellow boob warrior.

    Love Janene
