Health Anxiety brain tumour

First off, it is so reassuring seeing alot of these posts with many people feeling the same.

I went to the doctor's after suffering with a headache on both temples. Feeling a bit off.

Passed neurological tests. Told migraine. Given strong painkillers.

Over the weekend wasn't too bad but then I think I had visual disturbances. Back to doctors on the Monday. Prescribed migraine medication and also luckily for me an MRI has been requested.

Now the doctor is fairly certain nothing sinister but my mind has gone into overdrive. I've had a fukk blown panic attack this evening. It is all I'm thinking about. My head is pounding.

Logically I know highly unlikely. I had an eye test. All ok.

I don't have pain all the time. I'm not being sick. Just feeling it.

But what if. Its unreal. So I'm waiting for an appointment.

I can't cope with the stress and anxiety.

  • Hello Natalie9289

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some ongoing health concerns recently. It sounds like you're feeling particularly anxious and worried about things despite the reassurance that you've been given so far.

Unfortunately, we know that many people find this period of waiting for tests difficult and sometimes the stress and worry can feed into that anxiety and make symptoms worse. This article has some information and advice that may help and you may like to look at the information on the NHS website that has advice and tips for managing health anxiety.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for your MRI and the results will bring you some reassurance. I do hope that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
