Cervical polyp

Hi, 

I have a polyp it was found when I went for my smear back in March. Since then I have been on the waiting list to see a Gyno as Doctor could not remove it as it was too painful. Since then I have bleeding most day stomach cramps I have contacted the Doctor who has said referral is in so will have to wait. I do not know how much longer I can cope with the constant bleeding it is not heavy but i do have to wear pads all the time which is uncomfortable.

  • Welcome to the forum AnkSpond although I'm sorry about the polyp that's been found and for the symptoms you're having to contend with whilst you wait for your referral to go through.

    In the meantime, if you have more than one doctor working at your GP surgery you could try getting a second opinion to see if there's anything they could do to speed up the process or provide you with that could help with the bleeding whilst you wait.
