Hi, i was diagnosed with disseminated serous high grade carcinoma in 2020 1 day after 1st lockdown, they tried to postpone treatment as theatres were closed down, they tried drains as i was filling up with fluid,i had 4 abdominal drains and 4 chest drains in total before i started chemo, i had 4 rounds of chemo then i had a radical hysterectomy in aug 2020 followed by 2 more rounds of chemo, i thought i was cured until sept 2021 when i felt breathless once again,a ct scan revealed a large ascites on my right lung which was squashed by the fluid, and cancer had returned, i had another drain which they got as much out as they could, then in october i started chemo again which i had the last one in march of this year, then two months later i started niraparib as maintainence treatment, i am doing ok on this so far,and i am monitored regularly.
