Lymphoma progressed

Hi, im new to this forum, i was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma in 2018,i was 38 at the time. I was rushed in with suspected appendicitis, it turned out 2 lymph nodes had grown so big it had blocked by bowel, so i had emergency surgery to remove them and part of my bowel.. I haven't needed anymore treatment up to yet. I had a pet scan and bone marrow check when i was diagnosed and all was ok, apart from 2 little ones in my stomach lining.... Anyway jump forward to now and, ive been suffering from severe pain in my hip and thigh bones and am scared its progressed and i am extremely tired all the time.. Trying to get an earlier appointment as my next 1 isnt while 21st june.... As anyone else suffered bone pain or similarly to my experience and what advice can u share with me thankyou.... Just to add my husband was diagnosed 1 yr before me with the exact same lymphoma,, we feel like wer the only ones like this. Thankyou

  • Hello Lisa and welcome to the Cancer Chat forum.

I'm sorry to hear both you and your husband have this diagnosis and that you're worried your current symptoms are a sign it's got worse and spread.

Hopefully some of our members with follicular lymphoma who may have experienced bone pain in these areas will share their experiences and advice with you soon but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday (except bank holidays) between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I really hope you're able to bring your appointment forward and that the results of any tests you may have will show it hasn't progressed.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
