Triple negative breast cancef

Hi am new.., does anyone have this type

  • Good luck with the new oncologist

  • Hi laraj

My very low grade tumour in right breast removed at end of November 2021 was oestrogen receptor POSITIVE (ER 7) and progesterone receptor POSITIVE (PR 6) and HER -2 NEGATIVE ( not responsive to Herceptin ) with 5 days radiotherapy condensed from 15 days ( new guidelines in Scotland) in first week of April 2022 and Letrizole one tablet daily.

On Friday the surgeon informed me I had Triple A NEGATIVE breast cancer that spread to my left breast with a lesion of 21mm x20mm.

I had planning scan for tattoo to guide radiotherapy beam in March and having got a copy of my scan I see that in March there was indication of a 9mm lesion in my left breast.

No one especially the oncologist mentioned this.

Hence my request for another oncologist to be allocated to me.

To prevent a fuss I just said patient Dr relationship has broken down.

Im still trying to process being told in July 2022 that I was very low risk to a tumour that is growing at a rate of 2mm per month described as TripleA negative.

    Im stunned.

  • Thanks for your good wishes.

Ive not been allocated a different oncologist yet.

I hope to goodness I get one as I have no confidence in the one that I only spoke to on the phone the once and that was supposed to be a consultation!

  • Oh no , so at your planning in March they saw something but never mentioned this until now ? That's awful I really can't see why they never told you this , did they not do any biopsy or further tests in March ?

  • Can you speak to pals over what your going through?,I suggest getting yourself fit first lovely

  • Hi laraj

    my thoughts precisely!

I have worked the majority of my life in a professional capacity in the NHS ( not a dr or a nurse) but can't say more for fear of identifying myself hence me getting hold of the first ever CT body scan images and report I've had in my life.

I was shaken to the core as I read the attached report regarding the 9mm lesion in left breast in March 2022.

Hence my shock as I had been complaining to both the GP and the surgeon on 31 Dec 2021 that I was feeling breathless and exhausted.

I then looked up Oncogen DX test and this oncologist wrote in July to my GP I was not a suitable candidate as my cancer was very low risk.

So very low risk that she mentioned it twice in the letter that I have a copy of.

    Im in total shock.

  • Hi Neicyxd

Yes I've told 3 pals and they suspected I was not fit prior to the first diagnosis as I used to go for a long daily walk with one of them and she noticed I had to stop and take a breath every 20 metres or so.

Our daily walk which took an hour now took double the time for less steps.

I have one of those fit bits.

Im just waiting for a rapid appointment to get tumour removed and another oncologist who I would  have more faith in as what has happened is unbelievable

  • I'm in total shock for you I can't imagine the worry of this , so you were told all clear after March ? So did you feel a new lump in the left breast after or was it just getting a copy of report how you found out ?

  • So you had her2 negative and now you got triple negative in other breast ? Have they given biopsy ect now ? My freind has triple negative and started chemo within 3 weeks of diagnosis x

  • Fingers crossed you get sorted soon let us know hope you get on xxxx
