Hi there,

I'm new on here. Found a breast lump and have been referred to the breast clinic.  Have only told my partner so far as don't want to worry anyone. Am trying to remain cheerful as he is being wonderful, but finding it very up and down. Would be lovely to meet people at a similar stage - my breast is aching today and not sure whether that is because I am thinking about it!!

    I'm sorry to hear you've found a breast lump but I'm glad you've joined us as we have many members who are at this stage of the journey so you're not alone and hopefully some of them will be along soon for a chat.

    I'm not sure if you've been referred to a breast clinic before but if you haven't and would like to get a rough idea of what may happen at your appointment then do be sure to have a look at this page on Breast Cancer Now.

    The waiting is one of the hardest parts of this process but we're here for you and will do all that we can to support you during this anxious time.

    No, I've never been to a breast clinic before so will check out your page.  I really don't know how I should feel - keep thinking I should try not to think about it until I get the appointment through - but that is a lot easier said than done!
