I had my recall letter last Tuesday 10 days after my routine mammogram my second one. Never been recalled before absolutely terrified is an understatement. Had previous non cancerous lump removed in 2014 just after full hysterectomy. Been on HRT since middle of 2015. Risks are high due to mom and her sister having breast cancer thrn we lost mom to pancreatic cancer, my aunty now has terminal bone cancer and their brother has lung cancer. We now also have a breast cancer case in a maternal cousin. It's been the longest week ever but my appointment is tomorrow, they've advised me to take my hubby. Contacted hospital wouldn't tell me anything other than to bring him and my appointment will be 3-4 hours long. So I'm feeling your pain and wish you all the luck in the world xx

I hope so in one way but in another hoping it doesn't throw up more unanswered questions. Suppose we just have to remain positive x 

Oh I hope not as I'm sure you do, you know I hadn't even thought of that so much going through my head as I'm sure your the same don't know how I've functioned this last week in all honesty don't know about you. Can I ask how old you are please? I'm 52 x

Hi Jasam & Joneil,

 I may be wrong, but it sounds as if both of you are just returning for the results of your mammograms tomorrow. Are you both aware that you may need to have a biopsy to determine if anything is cancerous? If you do need these, it can take another 7-14 days to get the results of these back. 

I don't say this to upset either of you - just to warn you that you may still have to wait a little longer for a definite diagnosis.

It's further tests for me tomorrow but to be honest, just be glad to find out what they've found in all honesty, and maybe they might be able to shed some light on it. Family history not helping my nerves either but thank you anyway x

61 had cervical cancer at 36! So have been lucky to get this far hope the luck hasn't run out x x x I am from kent 

Yes but from what I have read can be given an idea yay or no. And then biopsies so I know I may have longer to wait but may be a step further forward to an answer than I am today x 

I'm sure it hasn't . I'd love to be able to wave a magic wand and say everything will be fine but maybe tomorrow we'll have an idea x

I had my recall appointment on Friday 4th March where I had further mamaograms and then the Consultant Radiologist talked me through the findings on the xray. Then a biopsy and again, she showed me the results. I had to wait for another week for confirmation. I have to say the staff were brilliant; very caring and supportive in the way they informed me. I took my husband but he had to wait in the outer waiting room, until we went with the Breast Care nurse into a private room.
