Adoption

Hello

My name is Zoe am 37 with secondary breast Cancer. I was orginial diagonised in October 2016 and went through surgery, egg freezing, chemo and radio. Sadly in Jan 2020 it had spread to my bones, I have again recieved another 6 rounds of chemo and now i recieve Prezgo every 3 weeks. Since i was diagonised a second time all my scans have stayed stable no growth which is great. Myself has has never felt fitter and mentally great and thr best in the last 5 years.  As a single lady and now having secondary breast cancer it has now stopped any chances of a baby even thought i am in talks with fertitlity and my oncolgist to see if we can do something. So option 2 would be adoption however, once again my health becomes the issue.

So my question is has anyone gone through having children with secondary breast cancer or the adoptation process?

Thanks

    Hi ZoeF,

A very warm welcome to our forum. I am so sorry to hear of your unfortunate position and at such a young age. I am afraid that I cannot help with your question. I nnoticed that your post has been here for a couple of days and that nobody has replied to you yet and I couldn't just pass by.

Sadly, we don't have a crystal ball and, one can never tell with cancer. I expect that the main question as a single mum, would be whether you know of anyone who would be willing to bring a child up on your behalf, if the worst should happen? I am so glad to hear that you are feeling so well  and able to consider this prospect and I wish you every future success .

Please keep in touch and let us know what you eventually decide, as I'm sure that this is a problem for many. We are always here for you and I sincerely hope that someone who had had this experience will come along shortly.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
