Letrozole and joint pain

I have been on Letrozole for about 8 months now following breast cancer surgery in June of last year. I was getting a bit of joint pain at the start, but recently it has got worse and is starting to get me down. I want to persevere with the medication if I possibly can but I can't live like this for another 4 years!

I was considering whether taking up yoga or tai chi might help at all. Has anyone tried this and has it helped? Or anything else that has helped in terms of exercise?

Also has anyone switched to Tamoxifen and found that their joints have improved?

Any comments or suggestions gratefully recieved! xxx

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this side effect from your mediation. I know we have lots of ladies here on the forum who have experienced joint pain from Letrozole and hopefully, some of them will post to share their tips and advice with you.

I'd really encourage you to speak to your breast care nurse or Oncologist. There may well be alternatives that they can offer you or things that they can recommend to help you better manage this side effect.

If you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I hope that things settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
