Swollen lymph node found on ultrasound after Moderna booster

I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer 7 years ago.  I had a lot of pain in right implant before Christmas and gap referred me to breast clinic.  On ultrasound everything was normal except they found an enlarged lymph node on the left side as an incidental finding.  I was told not to worry as it was probably as a result of my Moderna booster 7 weeks previously.

I returned for a repeat scan this week to find I still have it, and in fact think it has got bigger.  Now I'm freaking out that the cancer had come back.

  • Hello Caro1954

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some concerns about your breast health which in turn has led to the team finding a raised lymph node.

We know from posts on the forum that many people have had raised nodes following their Covid vaccine but it's understandable that you're feeling anxious about the repeat scans that you're due to have this week.

Hopefully the team will be able to give you some reassurance at your appointment but if you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
