Fibroepithelial lesion removed during lumpectomy. Worried

Hi,

I had a lumpectomy to remove a fibroepithelial lesion a week ago. I don't have my follow up appointment for another 2 weeks and I'm going slightly insane worrying.
I don't seem to be able to find any discussions about this kind of lession and wondered if there is anyone else out there in a similar situation or has been?

 Thank you

  • Hello Akflutter and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to remove a fibroepithelial lesion and that the follow-up appointment is making you understandably worried.

Even though you didn't find a discussion about this kind of lesion I'm sure you will find many people here who will understand exactly how you're feeling when it comes to the waiting game so I hope that you get to chat with some of them soon, as talking our worries over with those who can relate does seem to help.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that if you feel that speaking with someone medically trained before your appointment in two weeks' time, feel free to ring our nurses. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040

I hope all turns out OK for you, Akflutter. Once you know more please come back and give us an update.

    With best wishes,
