New lump found during treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma

Hi, daughter was diagnosed last year with Hodgkins Lymphoma stage 2, has had 2 lots of chemo and now has to undergo daily  radiotherapy for 3 weeks.  Mass was in  neck and now also in chest so will have to have radiotherapy in both areas, today they found a lump above the collar bone it is not painful but about the size of a grape, just wondering if this is normal to have new lumps appear or is it cause for concern.

  • Hello Stilton

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. It's understandable that you may be feeling worried about the fact that a new lump has been found.

We know that the majority of people find news like this concerning and difficult to understand. I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat things through with one of our team of nurses? I'm sure they will be happy to offer andy information, advice and support that they can. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I do hope that the rest of her treatment brings some positive news for you all.

    Best wishes,
