I just wanted to post to send my best wishes ahead of your surgery on Wednesday. 

In terms of how long you are likely to be off work that will really depend on what kind of surgery you're having and how you recover. I think most of our members here would say don't rush things and delay your recovery. Make sure that you feel well enough before heading back to work.
