Hi newly diagnosed with cervical cancer
Hi newly diagnosed with cervical cancer
Hi Janney and welcome.
I’ve been through cervical cancer myself, so if there’s anything I can help with please just ask. Do you want to share what part in the process you are at? If you are newly diagnosed, are you waiting for scans and a treatment plan?
It’s always a shock getting a cancer diagnosis, and it can be good to speak to others who have gone through it. x
I have had scans I'm waiting for consultant which treatment is best for me I am so scared
Hi Janney
I completely understand how scary it is to be waiting like this, but things will start to feel better when you know exactly what you’re dealing with and how it will be treated. Trust in your team to be making the best plan for you depending on the stage of your cancer, and try and take just one day at a time. Try not to think too far ahead, although I know how hard that is. x
No worries-please keep in touch if you’d like for some extra support. x
Hi Janney
I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November and I can understand your situation. I was all over the place with worries. My Urology team has been so so good and reassuring. I am having the kidney removed in 2wks and even with that I am feeling scared but have put my faith in my team who have been wonderful. Once you get to know your treatment plan things will get abit bearable. Try take one day at a time . I wish you all the best with the treatment moving forward.
Sending love to you.
Heya
Thought i would message you as I've also recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer so I completely understand how scary and daunting this all is. Its so hard to stay positive but we have to. I've had MRI and just been told I now have to go for a pet scan its not early but not advanced so it's petrifying. But there's so much they can do these days and so many woman have unfortunately gone through all this I'm sure we will get through this x
Hi Lj
We’ve chatted before on another thread. I hope you don’t have long to wait for your petscan and results so you can get on with treatment, and it’s positive news that the mri has indicated that it isn’t advanced.
Treatment for the various stages of cervical cancer is pretty standard everywhere, following international guidelines, with some “tweaks” depending on individual circumstances. Once you know exactly what you’re dealing with and what treatment you will have, things become easier to deal with. x
