Bladder Cancer

Hi everyone

Didn't expect to be here. I am 60 with two grown up children and just starting the next chapter. After a referral for pale pink spotting was referred to women's health. Further referral to urology for cystoscopy  on 30th Dec. Shocked to be told 2 papillary lesions found and referred for TURBT and CT scan. I can honestly say never felt so scared about the future. Reading your experiences has been so comforting so thought I should post too. Any advice gratefully received.

  • Hello Ug04,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and I am so sorry to hear that two papillary lesions have been found. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your TURBT and CT scan. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more.

I know it is really hard but the best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this while you are waiting is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. There is also useful information on this page on how to cope while waiting for important news.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks Lucie for your reply. I'm keeping busy to avoid overthinking and trying to stay away from Dr Google.
