Breast cyst concern

I am new to the forum so please forgive me if I sound silly. Back in late Nov I found a painful lump under my left breast. My GP said it was an abscess and gave me antibiotics.

I'm 49 years old, diagnosed with endometriosis and Adenomyosis with Zoladax implant to stop the heavy bleeding.

In Dec 2021 I underwent triple Assessment at as a routine.

The letter after the assessment came through 04/01/22 it said the lump was P1 Benign, M2 and U3. I was told that my results will be discussed at the MDT meeting.

I waited until today I called the breast clinic nurse and she said that in the meeting they said I had a ruptured cyst and they're referring me back to my GP?

Has anyone in the forum had this sort of diagnosis please?

My left breast still hurts and is painful, still swollen and I have difficulty sleeping on my left side like something is poking me

Please help

    Hi Tam,

A very warn welcome to our forum.

I am sorry to hear about your ruptured cyst.  I am not a doctor, so cannot give you any medical advice. All I know is that cysts are usually benign, so this is possibly why you have been referred back to your GP. It might be worth phoning your GP to see if s/he has received the letter yet and, if so, making an appointment to discuss this.

Breast pain seldom accompanies breast cancer, so here's hoping that it settles soon.

Please let us know how you get on. we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Dear Jolamine,

Thank you so much for your response.

I have discussed my diagnosis with my GP. No further treatment is needed, just regular breast check.

    no lumps just painful breast.

Thanking you kindly for your support.

    Warmest Regards
