Quick hello

Hi, my names Rachael, I'm 27 with 3 beautiful young daughters. I got my breast cancer diagnosis today, in total shock! Was sure it was a blocked milk duct as my youngest is 10 weeks old! Waiting for an MRI before the decide on surgery/chemo. Just looking for a safe haven!

  • Hi,

Welcome to this club that no one wants to join! This place has helped me so much over the months though and it'll definitely help you too.

I was diagnosed in April and since then have had chemo, surgery and about to start radiotherapy but they have told me that everything is looking good and I can't tell you how positive and happy I feel these days. I'm 40 with a 13yr old son and he was my worry throughout it all but he has been amazing.

I just wanted to reply to say there is light at the end of the tunnel and we'll all help you I promise.

Sending hugs and positive vibes! Send me a message if you want to know anything x

  • Hi, thank you so much for your reply.

glad to hear you're towards the end of treatment! What a year it's been! Trying to think one day this will all be but a memory!

many happy wishes and positivity for 2022 ️

    Hi,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Did I see oin  another post that you have caught this early? I was diagnosed with early breast cancer 12 years ago and had a lumpectomy. A year later I had a second bout in the same breast and had a double mastectomy. Treatment was a challenge, but I still live a busy and fulfilling life.

You will probably find yourself angry one minute, in disbelief the next and scared throughout. This is how I felt at first, but it does get easier with time. Try not to panic. Take things day by day and try not to look at the bigger picture. It is easier to deal with this in bite sized pieces.

Do please let us know how your MRI goes. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi, thank you for your message.

as far as I am aware currently, it's been caught early. Of course don't know for sure until I've had this MRI scan, and a mammogram where they put dye in? Can't remember the name of this one! Having these done on Tuesday then I'll get my "plan of action" on your the 15th!

glad to hear you are still living with your best life! Your words of support are much appreciated thank you so much :) and happy new year!

    Hi Rcreek,

I'm glad to hear that you are getting your mammogram and  MRI with contrast on Tuesday. This will help your consultant to decide where to go from here. You will feel better once you know this and start to get rid of the cancer. Breast cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer nowadays, so don't give up hope.

I hope that you have A Healthy and Happy New Year.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
