I am so glad you got all clear !! That's amazing news ! I found lump in my left breast and GP referred me to breast clinic just waiting for appointment! My mind is in overdrive at the moment x

Hi Dom, I know exactly how you are feeling, it's very stressful and there is no point in anyone saying don't worry because you do worry, just try and take each day as it comes and try not to move forward in your head too quickly. The one thing that I did find a positive is it really makes you realise the important things in life that are not necessarily the big things, makes you appreciate everything in a different way. I think everything is polarised this time of year too! When is your appt?

Thank you ! Means a lot x I am still waiting as only been referred yesterday . Gp said that it looks like a cyst as it is well rounded and movable which is about right for my age group - am 41 , my mum always suffers from cysts and I think it's hereditary . It's just with my daughters bthday tomorrow and Xmas I feel so angry that what's meant to be really happy time has low been ruined by worry x hope it makes sense

Hi Dom it does make sense and it's a really difficult time of year, cysts are really common. Also I would say, please try not to Google, we are not experts and it just doesn't make anyone feel any better. Again I know it's easier said than done, I'm the worst for that. Try to just focus on each day and enjoy the moment or you will spoil this time with your daughter and you'll regret that. Honestly I know what you are going through. At least when you get a date for the appt you know what time frames you are working with and you can compartmentalise it a bit... 

thank you !! Googling is the worst ! I have very obsessive thoughts so I always seem to go back to worst case  scenario even at the end of a positive day ! Also I check everything with my health anxiety so have been in this situation twice before ( doesn't make it any easier ) ! But I am fairly familiar with tests and procedures. That side doesn't bother me just the results , Gp said she's not concerned but I kind of expected her to say she can't feel anything and it's in my head ! X 

Hi Dom,

GPs are usually pretty honest about their findings. Only 1 person in every 8 referred will get a cancer diagnosis. Not all lumps are cancerous. Many are benign cysts, fibrous or hormonal changes.

Here's hoping that your GP is right. Please keep in touch and let us know when your appointment comes through. You'll usually get it within 2 weeks of referral. We are always here for you.

So relieved for you Vkrbl  xx- its a tough few weeks waiting isn't it.

I get my results on Monday (25/03/24) and I've convinced myself its DCIS as I've been told i have calcifications & has 2 biopsies ( needle & core).

I've googled everything under the sun to do with it but am just frightening myself more. 

So i am working ( took on some bank shifts) all weekend to try to pass the time till 11am Monday morning. x
