Following our winning campaign for standardised cigarette packs, we are now launching Test Cancer Sooner.
To be able to deliver cancer tests, two crucial things need to be in place: NHS staff and appropriate equipment. That’s why we’re asking Chancellor George Osborne to significantly increase investment in early diagnosis to tackle workforce and equipment issues.
With this petition-based campaign we aim to collect 11,000 signatures; one for every life that the Cancer Taskforce predicted investment in early diagnosis could save each year.
Improving early diagnosis in England will not only save lives, but will save the NHS around £44 million a year in treatment costs for breast, bowel, lung and ovarian cancers too.
