Because my wife made me go to the doctors, my prostate cancer was caught early and because of this, I have made a very good recovery. So I fully support this petition and wish Cancer Research all the best with this, Brian.

I always like to read these before parting with my info. I wouldnt like to end up like the 78 year old gentleman in the news today who was pestered by several hundred charities plus scammers.

When its sorted out I and my family will most likely add our signatures.

Early diagnosis is crucial and will save lives and money for NHS. In my own case a fairly simple and curable cancer has progressed from what should have been a small operation as a day patient, to a series of major operations and radiotherapy treatments etc (costing the NHS over £30,000 to date) and a cancer that cannot be cured. The prognosis could have been very different had more resources been available for my diagnosis and earlier treatment.
