my husband has stage 3 liver cancer

hi all we are 12 months in to stage 3 liver cancer with my husband have 2 boys age 10 and 12 i can not lie its been a hard path husband has had alot admishons in hospital due to pain but since the last admishon 3 weeks ago hes been home and started snapping at myself and the 2 children both boys just dont understand why both my boys have special needs

    Sounds like your husband is very stressed out (understandably). Snapping could be his way to let steam off and cope with the uncertainty that lies ahead.

    I've had a number of arguments, shouting, snapping with my husband since he was diagnosed; we've both been extremely short-fused. At the same time I feel guilty because I know he won't be around much longer now, so I should be more tolerant.

    More recently I've been spending more time crying quietly in the shower early in the morning when he was sleeping longer. It has helped me to stay calm during the rest of the day.

    i have been the same its so hard at times some days are easier than others im more worried about him snapping at the children becuse thay feel thay have done rong i explain to them that dad is just very poorly i hope you are getting support x

    We are getting physical/practical support. My husband was given less than 3 months (actually the clock has ticked down to 2.5 months since then). Looks like he will be allowed back home from hospital in a few days (well, they want the bed back, right?). Hospital is arranging for equipment to be delivered and for two carers to come in four times a day.

    I've been keeping a small number of people (about 6 households/individuals) updated via email. My parents died in 2009 & 2014, I have become cynical about expectations for emotional support - it's polite & appropriate noises. I can almost predict the wording in responses to emails and the advice. So... I'll deal with it on my own and after some time it will be less painful.

    oh bless you it mush been so hard for you im sort of in same boat i dont have nothing to do with my family since i got married becuse thay didnt agree with age diffance as for his side his brother and sister say there coming over and havent ever made it i dont alow friends over  since covid but he video calls friend
