Sleeping 8 hours during the day

Hello

I'm full time carer to 88 year old Mum with advanced pancreatic cancer.

Does sleeping 8 hours during the day mean we are near the end?

Eating and drinking small amounts. Has some pain in mid back.

I kinda know the answer but just needed to chat.

PS I'm very prepared and have all the meds and emergency numbers.

Sorry to hear that. My uncle (66 years old) is in the same situation and I asked a similar question. He seems to wake up at intervals and sometimes is able to converse and other times is subdued and confused.

Yes I am having the same experience with Mum. It's very confusing isn't it? One minute she seems really ill and looks about 100 and the next she's awake and asking for bananas and custard!!
I hope you are ok and getting some respite. I haven't had an hour off since 24th March.
