Long Term Prognosis - mum has stage 4 bladder cancer

Hi,

This is my first time using a forum so please bear with.

My mum was diagnosed with bladder cancer last year and was told in October that she was at stage 4 (she had chemo, radio and immunotherapy)

She was told that she had around 16 months

These past 2 weeks she has been hospitalized and has gone down hill so fast

Her liver isnt working so they have her on steroids, her legs are so swollen that she has fluid constantly leaking from her ankles, shes confused all the time, shortness of breath

She had a fully body scan today which showed the cancer has gone to her lympnodes in her lungs and around her heart

Has anyone else been through a similar experience?  Is there any chance she will get better?

Thanks
