My husband passed away unexpectedly last night. He was diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma of the appendix in august of 2018. He had 2 surgeries but unfortunately after the second op we were told he was terminal as the cancer was covering his small intestine and diaphragm. On Tuesday the 27 of October he was rushed to hospital with a suspected intestinal blockage. Thankfully he didn't have one but he was diagnosed with pneumonia. On Thursday the 30th we were told that his cancer was covering his abdominal wall and was in his spleen, the consultant told us he had 3-6 months to live . He was on antibiotics for a week and appeared to be improving when, out of the blue, he had an episode at about 5pm yesterday where he was banging his head off the table in his room. He was unresponsive for about 20 seconds but seemed to be fine afterwards. At around 6:50pm the nurses went into his room and found him on the floor. I arrived at 7 but he'd already passed away. The day before I was with him from 5pm to 11pm and noticed some odd behaviour. He was hallucinating and couldn't use his mobile phone because his hands were shaking like crazy. He's had muscle spasms in his sleep for months but never when awake and his hands, feet and the bridge of his nose were freezing. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it sounds like the cancer had metastasised to his brain? I know it sounds odd, he had loads of scans on his chest and abdomen but never one of his head
Sorry for super long post. I'm still trying to rap my head around things and it hasn't hit me yet that he's gone
Thank you
Thunder
