So sorry to read this shocking news. I have some experience of this too as one of my parents was diagnosed with lung cancer. I don't think anyone can say how long....people receive a prognosis of weeks and are still here (on this site) going strong well beyond this time xx

Im so sorry you are experiencing this. I just went through the exact same thing also lung cancer. My dad was told he had terminal lung cancer mid week and given weeks to live and 2 days later he died. My advise is just say everything you need to say to your mum and cherish these next days and weeks you can even ge hopeful for months. I'm just so sorry i know exactly how you feel. Its so confusing, shocking, i feel cheated. Its been 2 weeks since he passed and yet i still can not believe how this can be my life. But it will get better and no matter what happens with your mum it will get better for you too. Please be strong
Thank you for your message, means alot. We are expecting any day now really. Palliative nurse said just so you are prepared. It's just so damn hard as mom is in a nursing home now. No visitors as in full lock down staff members have covid.
