My husband has been fighting small cell lung cancer for 2 years but has been told there is no more treatment. Does anyone have a rough timeline as to how long he has left. We feel left in the dark.
Welcome to our forum, although I'm so sorry to hear of the reason that you have joined us. Most of us on this site are cancer patients ourselves, so do not have the medical knowledge to predict how long your husband has left. Unfortunately, we are all different and we all react to cancer in a different way. The best person to answer this question is his consultant, who will have his full medical history to hand.
Even when a doctor has all this information, it can be a bit of a 'guesstimate' as to how long someone has. Is your husband at home, in a hospital or hospice, or do you have any carers coming in to attend to his needs? Staff in these places can sometimes give you some indication. There are a number of good sites which can give you information on what to look out for at 'end of life' and, you might find these helpful to read. I have been in your position a few times in my life with loved ones and know just how heartrending this can be.
If you cannot get any idea from his care team, try asking his GP.
